CD and DVD PRODUCTION

Video Production
The general public are replacing the word "video" with "dvd" as a term to describe a moving image programme when of course DVD is only the delivery medium and programmes are still shot on "film" or "video tape" although recording to "solid state media" and "hard disk" is gaining in popularity.
As a commissioner or buyer of moving image programmes it's important that you are aware of how your programme will be made, as the traditional methodology of shooting on video tape and mastering to video tape is disappearing.
We continue to use the old methodology and retain rushes tapes and master tapes even if the final product is delivered on DVD or CD, that way, your investment remains available to you for further use without degredation.

Corporate Programmes
Still the mainstay of the industry, programmes promoting a company are, and always will be, important tools in the Marketing Departments arsenal. Five years ago such programmes were only produced for major companies with large budgets but advances in technology means that almost every business can now afford to promote themselves in a professional manner. |
Which delivery method?
VHS tape is declining rapidly, but before you rule it out you should research your target market.
DVD is now defacto for the general public but not if you want to interact with your potential customers.
CD-ROM should be used if you're marketing to businesses. CD-ROM should also be used if you want to interact with the viewer. Knowing your target audience, interacting with them to deliver solutions that meet their precise requirements will result in a higher return.
Internet could provide the biggest audience with the lowest outlay but it's essential that the programme is shot and produced with web delivery in mind. The programme, or segment must be delivered quickly, using a format which can be viewed easily by your intended audience. |

Product Promotional Programmes
In some cases static images and brochures can explain how the most complex product operates and describe the features and benefits in some detail however, sometimes, you can reach a larger market and greater sales can be secured, when programmes are delivered direct by DVD, CD or via a web site. |
 |
Training Programmes
When delivered on CD-Rom these programmes can provide an interactive user experience which helps the student learn the subject and be tested at the end of the course. |
