Q. How do I stop Spam?
A. If you can, avoid placing your email address on any website because it will get harvested by spammers.
Once a harvester has your address they will sell it to spammers and if it's proved to be live it's worth more so never reply to Spam and never use autoresponders because they reply to everything.
Download and install Spamfighter from www.spamfighter.com. Spamfighter will install into Outlook or Outlook Express and then move Spam into its own folder.
Some spammers clone your email address - Spamfighter will filter these out too!
If some spam does creep past Spamfighter just click on the Block button and it will be moved into your Spamfighter folder whilst also passing a copy back to Spamfighter themselves who will add its profile to their system.
Do NOT use Spamfighter to block emails from mailing lists or companies that you have made purchases from; unsubscribe instead.
